Kuduro is new music flavor coming out of Angola. I first heard this stuff in Lisbon [Portugal] which has a big Angolan community preserving their identity via "hardass" sonics, this stuff is now getting attention partly due to similarity to Baile Funk from Brazil which owes more to Miami booty bass. Kuduro is more exotic. The first original electronic music from Africa. Respekt!
Frederic Galliano has compiled the best on this Rough Trade release.
Kuduro Sound System feat. Gata Agressiva: Kuduro pra qui e pra la
Buraka Som Sistema: yah!

This Headman tune I'm sure it was meant to be a joke, and it's unabashedly silly and dumb but the more I hear it the better it gets. Underworld put this out as part of an online release only, and it's done in their classic understated gradual build style.
Headman: everybody(vocals Ben Rymer & Erol Alkan)
Underworld: Jal To Tokyo (Paul Woolford Vocal)

One of the most inspiring and uplifting songs ever committed to tape. Miriam Makeba first recorded this treat in 1967 and thus opened the gates of African music to the rest of world. Bless!

Children Of Men
We all remember that scene in which Michael Caine's character gives exile to his buddy played by Clive Owen. The tune he busts out after smoking the strawberry gum herb is Aphex Twin, and I can't help but notice a certain physical likeness. Could it be it was meant to be an aged Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin
Aphex Twin: Omgyjya Switch7

Haven't been able to gather any info on this band, but they're one of those quality items that sometimes get shut out of history's time line. Released in Europe sometime 1980-1981.

Findlay Brown
English psychedelic folkster who also abandons guitar on occasion to drop the needle on the ones and twos for more eclectic/electric sounds. Rumoured to have taken part in Gypsy bare-knuckle boxing contests in his small village outside of York [England].
A bit of tender hooligan, making evocative music.
Findlay Brown: but you love me

seen on [TV Globo] Brazilian TV channel during this week of carnaval
I had promised myself that I wouldn't infest this page with videos but this one is a case apart.
First because it's a fine specimen of the female form only Brazilian genes can produce and second is that the actual modeling animation is done using a really cool technique. It was done using mirrors and mapping for the effects were applied to those reflections, so image does not get treated or multiplied via a computer maintaining the full organic movement.
As explained by the creators:
Alexandre Pit Ribeiro,Hans Donner & Roberto Stein
